DLS “Thrace”

The headquarters of the hunting estate is located in the Plovdiv Plain, northeast of the lower reaches of the Stryama River, 15 km from the city of Plovdiv. There are three separate hunting areas: Chekeritsa, Vinitsa-Gradina, and Tamrash-Krichim-Petvar, covering parts of the Maritsa River basin, the Stryama River, and the Central Rhodopes – specifically the northern slopes of the Rhodope sector “Chernatitsa,” with a total hunting area of 17,528 hectares. The variation in altitude, from 100 m in the “Gradina” hunting area to 2000 m in the “Tamrash” hunting area, contributes to the great diversity of species.

The tranquility and untouched nature preserve the natural habitats of the brown bear, red deer, wild boar, capercaillie, chamois, and roe deer. The richness of the wildlife is also represented by pheasants, partridges, rock partridges, hares, fallow deer, mouflons, as well as all migratory hunting species. Hunting for both large and small game can be combined within a single hunting day. There are built warm and soundproofed enclosed hides, as well as hunting shelters, offering complete seclusion in the wilderness. The hunting estate has three hunting lodges:

• “Chekeritsa” hunting lodge, featuring two apartments, two studios, and four double rooms, is located near the farm’s headquarters.
• Hunting lodge “Chekeritsa,” featuring five double rooms, located in close proximity to the estate’s administration.
• Hunting lodge “Gradina” with six double rooms and three apartments.
