The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Rositsa Kirova, the Chair of the “Youth Guard Corps” Association, Dr. Denislava Angelova, Olympic medalist in rhythmic gymnastics Reneta Kamberova, and Diana Aleksandrova, Acting Director of the “Youth Policies” Directorate at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, officially inaugurated the youth space in the “Garden of the World” in Pazardzhik. Two weeks prior, nearly 100 boys and girls from the XVIII Student Guard Unit in Pazardzhik, the city’s sports school, the representative dance ensemble “Chudesia,” and the Youth Policy Council initiated the mission to beautify this picturesque spot located in the “Freedom” park-island. This took place as part of the initiative “The Bridge to Society and Institutions,” which accompanies the activities under the project “Young People – The Future of Bulgaria with Unlimited Opportunities,” Agreement No. 25-00-20/10.07.2023, implemented with financial support from the National Youth Program (2021-2025), Thematic Direction – “Non-formal Education for Acquiring Skills and Key Competencies,” and the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The youth space has been planted with various tree species and shrubs. Plans include creating areas for relaxation and promoting reading and informal learning by placing benches equipped with QR codes linking to a library application with the inscription “Read in the park!” The grand opening ceremony of the “Garden of the World” in Pazardzhik was also attended by the legendary Hristo Stoichkov, Olympic swimming champion Tanya Bogomilova, as well as karate champions Ivet Goranova and Jovana Prekovic.
