On Petrovden, June 29, 2020, Svoge celebrated the anniversary of its proclamation as a town with a ceremonial event where the flag of its first ever student guard unit was consecrated. The event was held under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Rumen Radev, with the participation of the National Guard Unit.
