The 80-year-old Secondary School “Vasil Levski” in Elin Pelin remains true to its tradition, striving towards the future with the understanding that education is a value.
The journey began in 1944 as a Full Mixed High School, evolving today into a modern innovative school, a worthy bearer of the name of its patron Vasil Levski – the Apostle of Freedom.
80 years of responsibility, professionalism, and enthusiasm for quality education, transforming the school into a natural educational center for creating dignified individuals and specialists in various professional fields.
The school educates 767 students across 32 classes with the ultimate goal of becoming a “desired territory” where knowledge and creativity, tradition and innovation coexist successfully, with the student at the center.
The primary goal of the school community is to achieve high results in the scientific knowledge of young people, to develop their individual potential, and to affirm national identity in the context of contemporary European values.
The school is part of the Cambridge Schools Association and is an innovative school. Its students have won awards at national Olympiads, competitions, open-air events, and contests. Since 2022, an annual Science Festival has been held, becoming a highly anticipated and effective event as it provides an opportunity for creative and scientific expression for students and teachers.
The school’s pride is the enthusiastic inclusion in the ranks of the Student Guard Units.
On April 16, 2025, the flag was consecrated under the patronage of the President of the Republic.
