Nikol Angelova, Giorgio Cristiano, Ivan Kondilov, and Djem Yumerov from the “Youth Guard Squads” Association and the “Touch the Rainbow” Association participated in a Bulgarian-Chinese youth forum held in Sofia. The initiative is part of the 10th anniversary of Bulgaria’s accession to the “One Belt, One Road” initiative and aims to promote dialogue, cooperation, and sustainable development among the youth from both countries.
The event was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria Atanas Zafirov, the Minister of Youth and Sports Ivan Peshev, the Chairman of the Youth and Sports Committee in the 51st National Assembly Gabriel Valkov, the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Petar Mladenov, and the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Bulgaria H.E. Dai Qingli.
The forum, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in collaboration with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Bulgaria, brought together representatives from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, the INSAIT Institute, the Chinese Cultural Center, the Vitosha Ventures Foundation, Wuhan University, and other organizations. The discussion took place in three panels dedicated to scientific research and entrepreneurship, the humanities and education, and the exchange of best practices between youth organizations from Bulgaria and China.
During the event, Nikol Angelova, Giorgio Cristiano, Ivan Kondilov, and Djem Yumerov had the opportunity to engage in brief discussions with representatives of Chinese institutions and youth organizations, learning more about possibilities for joint initiatives. Our youth also participated in the official reception at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Bulgaria, which concluded the fruitful event.
