Driven by a sense of responsibility, dignity, and love for Bulgaria, Prince Simeon-Hassan became part of the “Youth Guard Units” Association as a volunteer guardsman.
The solemn ceremony for his acceptance into the organization took place in the presence of His Majesty King Simeon II and members of the Bulgarian royal family.
With the blessing of King Simeon II and Princess Kalina, Prince Simeon-Hassan accepted the symbols of the youth guard, formally joining the ranks of the organization. He was welcomed by Dr. Denislava Angelova, the chairperson of the “Youth Guard Units” Association.
During the ceremony, Prince Simeon-Hassan personally greeted the young guards from the student guard unit of Vasil Levski Secondary School in Elin Pelin, who had the honor of meeting the King at the Vrana Palace.
The young man is responsible and dedicated to Bulgarian traditions and national spirit. Born in Sofia, with a genuine interest in our history, symbols, and spiritual values, Simeon-Hassan has grown up in an international environment, is fluent in several languages, and shows a sincere love for Bulgaria.
As part of the organization, the Prince will rehearse and participate in the activities of the 22nd Student Guards Unit at “Vasil Levski” Secondary School in Elin Pelin, as well as in national and international events, forums, and initiatives for youth participation, volunteering, and civic education.
With his preparation, broad outlook, and communicative skills, Prince Simeon-Hassan will naturally serve as an ambassador for Bulgaria’s young guards in Europe and worldwide, embodying the spirit of fair play, responsibility, and respect—values at the core of the youth guard initiative.
The young prince’s first official participation as part of Bulgaria’s Youth Guard Units will be on November 1st – the Day of the National Enlighteners, when the young guards will pay tribute to the work of Bulgarian educators and spiritual leaders.
The “Youth Guard Detachments” Association unites students and young people from across the country who, with a spirit of patriotism, respect, and social responsibility, acquire knowledge and skills in protocol, etiquette, volunteering, leadership, and civic engagement.
The Youth Guards participate in national and local initiatives, public causes, and educational programs aimed at fostering respect, empathy, and love for Bulgaria and its traditions.
The initiative is carried out under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, with the assistance of the National Guard Unit and the support of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Education and Science, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
