On the last day of their official visit, the youths from the “Youth Guard Units” Association had the pleasure of participating in a discussion organized by the diplomatic advisor to the minister, Cristiano Musillo. The meeting was also attended by Flavio Siniscalchi, Director of the Department of Sport, Giuseppe Piero, Director of the Department of Youth Policies and Universal Civic Services, and Giuseppe Maraventano from the Italian Youth Agency. The students had the opportunity to ask their questions and learn more about sports in Italy and how young people there are motivated to participate in sports.
During their visit to Italy, participants in the youth exchange program of the Association “Youth Guard Squads” had the opportunity to listen to a report by Mr. Alessio Buti – Secretary to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers with the portfolio for “Technological Innovations” – in the Senate of the Republic of Italy. A few days later, some participants met with him personally, greeted him, and held a brief conversation discussing topics related to the role of technology and youth participation in contemporary society. The meeting was an inspiring continuation of their impressions from the Senate visit and further proof of the importance of international youth dialogue.
As a gesture of gratitude to Ambassador Marcello Apicella for his efforts in the successful completion of the mission in Italy, the Bulgarian delegation visited the diplomatic representation immediately upon landing in Sofia to report on the outcomes of the trip and present future initiatives.
The “Youth Guard Units Association” holds accreditation № 2025-1-BG01-KA151-YOU-000297794, awarded in 2025, which ensures the sustainability and long-term development of projects in the field of youth policies. In recent years, the Association has established its role as an active participant in international youth exchanges. In 2022 and 2023, its delegations visited the Vatican at the special invitation of His Holiness Pope Francis and the Pontifical Swiss Guard. In 2023, the organization was also received at the state level in Montenegro, where they met with the Deputy Prime Minister and the Ministers of Education, Sports, and Human and Minority Rights.
