DAY 7
We started the seventh day with a brief drill. Afterwards, there was a lecture where we learned about cultural and historical landmarks. We visited the “Pleven Epic 1877” Panorama, where we learned about some of the battles fought there, and the Chapel-Mausoleum “St. George the Conqueror” from 1907. We paid tribute to our ancestors by laying wreaths and commemorated the Romanian Flag Day. At the end of our tour, we met the second guard unit and the first youth guard orchestra. We exchanged ideas and views about the civic position of young people and held a discussion on developing social and emotional skills. We continued with lunch, followed by an interesting activity where we answered the question of whether we can keep secrets. We had a short break before starting a presentation on the topic “Freedom of Will, Both as a Fundamental Value and a Problem”. A discussion on adaptability as a quality for good social communication ensued. “Can We Responsibly Solve a Moral Dilemma” was the name of our next activity. In it, we realized the responsibility associated with moral choice and distinguished between the negative and positive freedom of choice. After a delicious dinner, it was time for music and dancing, which helped us unwind at the end of the day.
